๐️ The **Drilling Chart** feature allows you to record and manage drilling specifications for your bowling balls or others' in a visualized chart format. Saving data optimized for your hand or your friends' hands is not only useful when drilling a new ball, but also helps you check which layout suits which lane condition.
1. Drilling Chart List
This is the main screen where saved drilling data is managed in card format.
Summary Info: In each card, you can check the owner's name, created date, ball used (ball name), weight, layout, and PAP info at a glance.
Management Tools: You can manage records via the icons at the top right of each card.
Copy (❐): Duplicates existing chart data. (Useful when creating a new chart by slightly adjusting a similar drilling.)
Edit (✏️): Modify saved information.
Delete (๐️): Delete the corresponding chart.
Add New Chart: Tap the [+] button at the bottom right to register new drilling data.
2. Create and Edit Drilling Chart (Input)
This is the screen for entering drilling information for a new bowling ball. It is divided into Basic Information and Detailed Specs (Chart) input.
A. Enter Basic Information
Name: Enter the name of the chart owner (yourself or a friend).
Ball & Weight: Enter the bowling ball model name and weight (lb).
Layout: Enter layout figures such as pin distance and mass bias. (e.g., 4 1/4 x 5 1/8 x 2 1/8)
PAP: Record your Positive Axis Point coordinates. (e.g., 3 3/4 - 1 1/2 up)
B. Enter Detailed Drilling Specs
After entering basic info, scroll down to enter detailed drilling specs.
Configure finger hole size, span, pitch, etc., in detail.
Pitch Settings: Select F/R (Forward/Reverse) and L/R (Left/Right) pitches for middle, ring, and thumb fingers and enter values.
Hole Size: Enter the size of each finger hole (e.g., 45/64).
Span: Enter the distance from the thumb to the middle and ring fingers.
Cut to Cut: Choose whether to apply the Cut to Cut method for span measurement.
3. View Drilling Chart Details
This screen displays the visualized diagram generated based on the entered data.
Drilling Diagram: Text input values are visualized in a triangular shape like an actual drilling diagram.
Hole Size: Numbers inside the circles indicate the hole size for each finger.
Span: Numbers on the lines indicate the span length.
Pitch Direction: Red arrows and numbers intuitively show the pitch direction (Left/Right).
Check Data: You can also review the detailed text information entered below the diagram.
๐ก Tip: The Drilling Chart is more than just a record; it serves as a valuable data asset to track how your PAP or layout has evolved alongside your throwing style. Additionally, checking layouts by ball helps confirm which ball is suitable for specific lane conditions.
